Programme Overview

The Level 4 Marketing Executive apprenticeship prepares individuals to help shape, support and deliver marketing plans, working in conjunction with a Marketing Manager or senior leadership. Marketing Executives are responsible for planning and executing tactical and targeted marketing activities. Typical responsibilities include managing key marketing channels (digital, offline and social media), planning and delivering integrated campaigns, managing production and distribution of marketing materials, liaising with stakeholders, collecting and analysing research information, and organising events. In a school context, this might involve leading admissions campaigns, managing the school website and social media, or overseeing communications with parents and the community.

What Your Staff Will Learn

  • Understand marketing concepts including the extended marketing mix (7Ps), brand positioning and CRM
  • Plan and deliver tactical marketing campaigns against SMART objectives
  • Manage key marketing channels including digital, offline and social media
  • Coordinate the production and distribution of marketing materials across multiple formats
  • Conduct market research and analyse data to evaluate campaign effectiveness and derive insights
  • Use digital marketing tools including web analytics, CRM systems and social media platforms
  • Manage project budgets and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Produce clear, creative communications including copy, presentations and campaign briefs

    Currently employed in a marketing, communications or admissions management role

    Entry requirements will be determined by individual employers

    English and maths at Level 2 required prior to End Point Assessment

    Be employed for a minimum of 16 hours per week in England

Off-the-Job Training

Dedicated off-the-job training during normal working hours. Minimum 348 hours for compliance. Includes online learning, workshops, campaign delivery, and progress reviews. Funded via the Growth and Skills Levy (maximum funding band: £6,000). Non-levy employers contribute 25%.

End Point Assessment

End Point Assessment includes a work-based project with presentation and a professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence. Grades: Fail / Pass / Merit / Distinction. Typical training gateway is 15 months followed by EPA period.
